It is officially time for the holidays and what better way to get in the spirit than to come down to the Thomaston Public Library and check out the new display of model trains! For the second year, these model trains and village will be on display in the main section of the library. This display, put together by Mr. Leroy Jones with the help of Mr. Neil Shively and Mr. Henry Groth, shows what it may have looked like in a typical small village built around the railroad industry. The display includes a comparison of the different model train scales, ranging from ‘G’, a 1:24 scale, to ‘N’, a 1:160 scale. The model trains and village will be on display for the month of December so stop in and view them before the year is up. The Thomaston Public Library is located at 60 Main Street. Parking is around the back. For more information, please call (207) 354-2453.

Donation
The Thomaston Public Library would like to acknowledge and thank Denise Stadler for her donation in the memory of Ashiah Pettee. Ms. Stadler’s donation has been used to purchase new books for the children’s collection. The Thomaston Public Library staff thanks Ms. Stadler for her gift, which will surely provide much reading pleasure for many of our young patrons.
