Sonny’s Sunshine Corner
The brothers when they were babies. Sonny is the lighter one with Butchie snuggled up next to his brother.
It seems as though I
forgot this column altogether last month. Sorry about that.
This month we say
goodbye to The South End Poet.
Because of other commitments Kendall will no longer be able to continue
contributing to this blog. His readers will miss him. Look for his work at your
local bookstore.
Ted’s Fish and Chips
will continue as usual. I am currently accepting ideas for guest blogs for
either a one-shot deal or a monthly commitment. Subjects I’m especially
interested in are nature stories as they pertain to Maine; Maine travel pieces,
especially personal stories of travel in Maine; historical Maine pieces such as
the one about long ago sea captains in Rockland; and other suggestions you may
have for a Maine-oriented continuing blog. Send your ideas to southendstories@aol.com.
Check out the Thomaston
Public Library blog and the Sail, Power and Steam Museum events for June. The
museum opened for the season last month.
Readership is now over
46,000 on this blog site; and over 800 this month on the Village Soup site.
Thanks again for your continued support of my work. Remember to click on an ad
or two. I do not charge my readers for access to this blog; therefore these ads
are the only way I get paid.
This month look for a
graduation story and a story about the oldest business on Main Street in
Rockland.
Butchie is glad the
pollen season is over in Georgia so that he can now sleep in his chair on the
patio without green dust settling all over him.
