clammin’ on Long Beach Peninsula in California. Think we could do this in Maine?
I don’t think so. We do look for air bubbles like this clammer does. Still
think we’d need our clam rakes though. Our flats are much rockier and grittier than
these flats are. I wonder if you have to have a license to go clammin’ in California.
This guy says he has a limit of 15 a day. These are pretty big clams though.
Looks like a bigger variety of quahogs to me, a clam we don’t eat much of in
Maine. We prefer “steamahs.” You could probably make a whole chowdah with just
one of these clams. Question is…would you eat it?
